Happy Chinese New Year, Friends!
We welcome the year of the Tiger with a ROAR! I wish you peace, joy , love, compassion and luck in 2022!
This Tiger year is all about growth as a collective; yes it’s about challenges and creativity, but also lots of planning (for better flow).
This year is also about bravery (fighting for what is right), confidence and persistence!
The Tiger represents the greatest earthly power, as well as protection over human life.
Ancient Chinese people believed that tigers turned white after they lived for five centuries, and that tigers could live for an entire millennium.
It was also believed that upon the death of a tiger, its spirit would enter the earth and become amber. This archaic belief inspired the original Chinese term for amber, which was "Soul of the Tiger".
According to Chinese myths, five types of tigers balance the energy in the cosmos, preventing the universe from chaos: Black tiger governs the water element and rules during the winter season; blue tiger governs the earth element and rules during spring; red tiger governs the fire element and rules during the summer; white tiger governs the metal element and rules during autumn; and yellow tiger rules all other tigers and symbolizes the sun.
2021 wasn’t easy for many …and as we have been navigating through these unpredictable times, the year of the Tiger brings a sense of valor for all that we were able to withstand in order to get through it. The tiger also represents “protection over human life”, making it difficult not to draw the parallels while we lose so many to this pandemic. Perhaps it is a sign that a change is upon us and the “Soul of the Tiger” is here for protection; I certainly like to think so!
So, like the wise tiger, we need to stay strong and brave and patient. With all that is happening around us, my hope is for you to stay grounded and allow the universe to work its magic. Above all else, may this new year ignite a new fire within you and radiate all of the positive elements that the Year of the Tiger represents.
Love & Blessings,
